Specially Designed Education Services Certified By the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
BOTHELL, WA—November 13, 2019—Specially Designed Education Services (SDES), a business specializing in providing products, training, and consultation related to programming for students with moderate to severe disabilities including autism, is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Pacific Women's Business Enterprise Council, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).The rigorous effort to get certified was something SDES owner Suzanne Fitzgerald felt was well worth the investment. "The WBENC certification demonstrates how proud we are to be a woman-owned business," said Fitzgerald. "It is also a reflection of who we are — an inclusive team that values and appreciates the diversity of the educators and students we serve.”
WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the Pacific Women's Business Enterprise Council is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs.
