Elementary Supplemental Programs/ Apps and Websites

Reading:
  • Read Well - This is a primary level reading program.
  • Reading Mastery- This is a Pre K-5 program
  • Reading Laboratory - This is a K-12 Program.
  • System 44 -  This is a companion program to Read 180. It spans grades 3-12+
  • English For Everyone  – Printable English worksheets (free)
  • K-12 Reader  -Reading instruction resources (free)
  • Have Fun Teaching  – Flashcards/sight words, activities, worksheets and more (many free and other products and downloads range from $1.00-$100.00)

Writing:
  • Handwriting without Tears - This program provides a multi-sensory approach to handwriting. It can be differentiated to meet the needs of your students in order for them to be successful.
  • Spelling City  - Teachers love this website because they can actually input the Styer-Fitzgerald sight words! (some free- more available with membership. See website for pricing information).

Money Math:
  • Math Fact Cafe  - Customizable time-telling worksheets and activities (free)

Time Telling:

  • Print Free  - Nice big clock that can be printed & laminated (free - use a brad to secure the hands and you have a cheap clock that you don’t need to worry about breaking!)

Multiple Content Areas:
  • Star Fall  - Games and activities for early elementary.
  • Ed Helper ​ - Various resources & activities (requires an annual membership fee. See website for pricing information.)
  • File Folder Fun - Printable games, played on file folders, that are great learning
    tools! (free)
  • ABC Teach  - Printable documents for daily living skills, math skills, money management & calculator skills (you must request a quote to find out what pricing is)
  • The Teachers Corner  - Sight words, phonics worksheets & word wheels, & mini-books (limited free – individual membership is $19.95 per year)
  • Help Kids Learn  This is great tool for making activities specific to your classroom. You can purchase an individual membership, a group of 5 memberships or a site membership.

Communication, Social Skills & Behavior Regulation:
  • ​Do 2 Learn  - Lots of great resources, tools & products. (some free - more with membership. See website for pricing plans.)
  • Linda Burkhart  - This website has multiple resources and products that are really useful. One of my favorites is Can We Chat? CO-Planned Sequenced Social Scripts. (many free resources – others ranging from $25.00-$50.00)
  • Design To Learn - Communication Development, Concept Development & Learning Environment tools (some free online - $5.00 - $345.00)

Multiple Disabilities Including Deaf-Blindness:
  • National DB  - Many great resources for working with students with deaf blindness but also students with multiple disabilities. I highly recommend the Open Hands Open Access (OHOA) Intervener Learning Modules. This is a national resource designed to increase awareness, knowledge, and skills related to intervention for students who are deaf-blind and are being served in educational settings (ages 3- 21).(free)
  • WSDS Online  - Excellent videos, handouts and other great resources for working with students with multiple disabilities including deaf-blindness.
  • Paths To Literacy  - Multiple resources categorized by content area including a section for multiple disabilities.

Picture Recipes:
  • Bry Backmanor  - Simple picture recipes (free)

Switch Programs: These are great free age-appropriate switch programs that can be used off of this website or downloaded onto a computer or flash drive.
